Reading Challenge Winners 2016!

That's right, we LOVE reading at Cavendish and what better evidence could there be than winning the Summer Reading Challenge 2016. According to the information collected by local libraries, 26% of our childern completed the challenge this summer, the biggest proportion of any school in the city. If you consider the fact that we are one of the biggest schools in the Manchester, then it is an even more impressive achievement. Thanks to you for supporting our efforts to develop a real love of reading within the children of Cavendish and thanks to Mrs Cooper for all of her endeavours to make reading exciting at school.

Our prize is a visit from the amazing Nick Sharratt - a writer and illustrator whose work is famous around the globe. How exciting!
