Welcome to our Year 6 page. The Year 6 team is made up of Mrs Day, Mr Griffiths, Miss Hanly, Mrs Smith, Mr Rezayan and Mr King. Mrs Repper-Day also works in Year 6 teaching French and Computing.
Our aim is to make sure the children are ready and confident for their transition to high school wherever that may be. We work to develop the children's academic skills, confidence and independence ready for the next step of their education.
In the Autumn Term on Year 6, all children are invited to take part in a residential visit to Robinwood (this year to take place over the weekend of 6th November) to develop the children's confidence and ability to co-operate and work as a team.
In the Autumn and Spring Terms, we offer a variety of additional lessons in core subjects, planned and delivered in smaller groups to enable all children to develop their learning to the best of their ability.
Towards the end of the Spring Term, the children will be sitting their statutory Year 6 Assessments (SATs). This will be in the week of 9th May 2016.
The Summer Term is an opportunity for the children to celebrate their time with us by putting on a performance and taking part in some special trips and events.
