Mental Health and Wellbeing at Cavendish
Mental Health and Wellbeing
The mental health of children at Cavendish is one of our most important priorities, ensuring that children feel safe and supported with help available to those when it is most needed.
The childen have created their own mental health top tips...
It's clear that mental health is an increasing problem in the world and these facts and figures from Place2Be highlight why it's essential that we are doing all that we can to support children from an early age.
School is here to help and we will aim to support families however we can. If you feel like you would like some support or advice about a mental health concern, please get in touch with Miss Evans and he will aim to help however we can or point you in the right direction. You can contact her on this address: office@cavendish.manchester.sch.uk
In school, each classroom has mental health check in charts and worry boxes where children can discretely share their emotions with teaching staff who can then act upon this.

We also work alongside other outside agencies when families have made contact with them outside of school. One of the most common supports for families is M-Thrive which is accessed through your GP. You can see some of the services they offer here: https://m-thrive.org/
They offer a self-referral on their website here: https://m-thrive.org/form/self-access-referral-form
